We are working in the remodelation of the interpretation center of the Paracas National Reserve en Ica, Perú. The porpuse of this exhibit is to sensibilized the visitor about the natural resources in the zone, especially to the young visitor.
In this contex, the Humboldt marine current is very important for the ecosystem in our coast, especially in this zone.
As we are remodelating the museography, we would like to include the portrait of Alexander von Humboldt, and the notes he did about the temperature in the Callao (lima-Peru) harbour.

Para contextualizar su estancia en Lima y el viaje a bordo de la fregata „La Castora“ (24/12/1802-04/01/1803), durante el cual Humboldt medió la temperatura del agua de las costas peruanas (descubriendo con eso lo que hoy llamamos la corriente Humboldt), le recomiendo el artículo de Teodoro Hampe Martínez (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) en HiN 15. Las notas a las que usted se refiere, se encuentran probablemente en el „Diario de viaje VIII – Viaje de Lima a Guayaquil: observaciones astronómicas de Humboldt (1802-1803).“ Éste se encuentra en la Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, en el archivo del legado de Humboldt.
Con respecto a imágenes de Humboldt, le puedo decir que avhumboldt.de no administra ningunos derechos de imágen relacionados con Humboldt. Para reproducciones regulares, le recomiendo nuestra categoría „Retratos“ o la página de Wikimedia Commons.
Para conseguir reproducciones de excelente calidad, le recomiendo revisar el „Bildportal der Kunstmuseen“ que contiene múltiples imágenes y retratos de Humboldt, incluyendo informaciones sobre el derecho de autor y como conseguir el derecho de reproducción.
